Sommaire / Summary
The exotic garden of Eze is one of those extraordinary gardens that are worth the detour alone. It's an exotic, Mediterranean and Zen garden. How so?
The exotic garden is located in the commune of Eze village, i.e. high up on the cliffside. Beware, the exotic garden is on a steep incline, with the different levels connected by staircases. This is important for those with walking difficulties. But it's no problem for everyone else.
Some specimens are remarkable. Remarkable for the rarity of their variety or also remarkable for their size. Each plant has a label with QR code to find out more. It can be visited all year round. It's obviously more in bloom in spring and summer, but also much busier.
The garden is adorned with statues by artist Jean-Philippe Richard.
The garden consists of 3 parts:
The exotic garden is accessed via the old village. So you have to climb up to the village and there are several signs directing you to the garden. It's very easy to find.
Depending on individual interest, if you visit all 3 spaces at your own pace, taking time to appreciate the panoramas, you'll need well over 2 hours at least. For a more partial view, allow at least 1h.
